Letter from the Future

Dear Abdullah

As you celebrate your 18th birthday with your friends who love you to bits, the camaraderie that you enjoy is a  testament of their love towards you . Through this letter I wanted to tell you a few things I would say firstly ,  savour the moments with these friends of yours . 

 You're life from the point you walk out of that Senior Secondary School will be an uphill task. Your curiosity towards Psychology will take you places , ( quite literally ) .  Yes , there I said it you won't be becoming a historian. The place of your genesis , this very institution AMU will become too much to bear for you . From high held aspirations to crushing disappointments you're up for a roller coaster ride in the days ahead . I  just want to tell you one thing: keep on believing in yourself and never lose hope. 

 You'll have a lot of trials and tribulations along this path of finding and accepting what's the best environment for you to grow . You'll experience an altogether new culture and way of life. Take it in your stride , Abdullah it will help you become something better and this change will reflect on  your personality.

Your family and friends are nothing less than an elixir , keep hold of them , love them will all your heart.  The people you are about to meet in the coming years , will also become part of your journey . 

I know you have started reading nowadays  carry on , this newly acquired hobby is soon to be your way of life. Be brave enough in your choices ahead. Educate yourself  , it's not at all bad to wear your opinion on your sleeves. And most importantly learn to be comfortable in your own skin . 

It's indeed a blessing to be away from home and it's comforting perks .  Keep on building and be on the path of learning and unlearning . 

And last but not the least, never stop talking and chattering.  It keeps you and the ones around you in high spirits . 

Ending it in the words of Michael Scofield : 

" Preparation can only take you so far. After that, you have to take a few leaps of faith.”
