Contemplations

A lot has been said about mental health over the past few days.  What I'm going to write ahead is not an outrage, just an observation that should solely be treated as such . In this digital age , we as humans have this great urge of acceptance that has taken over the urge of living itself.  In the process we  give ourselves away to social platforms . Our being is not enough; it has to be a being full of extravagance , glamour and social media paparazzi.  All this leads us into social circles which are not actually meant for all of  us.

All around  we find ourselves surrounded by people that put us down at every point in time and we remain unaware of it.

The disheartening death of an acclaimed actor makes all go gung-ho about mental health and the evils of the film industry , and on other days we are all  for online activism.  But somewhere in our acts lies the problem where our actions are being determined by trying to align with the thought process of this social media community.

In regards to mental health all I have to say  is that we are responsible for this  life that we have . It is our duty to live with utmost importance and happiness. We should surround ourselves with the ones who pull us up , empower us , cherish us every moment.  And we should do the same vice versa.

All of us face issues, some minor ,  some grave in our lives. There are days when going on feels like an insurmountable task . But we should remember that we have the ones who can help  pull us through , if it's too difficult for us to go all on our own.  To remember that we are cared for and valued .

Let's make this world a better place with one tiny step at a time. 🌻

Abdullah Kazmi
